Sequential Circuits. As you are probably aware, Reality is what Dave Smith and Stanley Jungleib created after the sad demise of SCI. Reality is the sum of all things great about SCI. Ian Grant has sampled just about every SCI instrument ever made, averaging between 500 and 1500 MB per instrument. This has taken years. 
All Instruments were faithfully returned to their original factory condition and reloaded with the factory sounds. They were then sampled with no FX using the marvelous Lexicon Core 2 soundcard. The built-in DBX compression allowed us to hit the meters hard without digital clipping. These will be released in SeerBankset format only for the forseeable future, so if you don't have Reality yet, grab yourself a Win9x box and a copy of Reality - the first Vintage SoftSynth :) |
