Reality Reality is a sixteen channel multi-timbral, polyphonic, software-based synthesiser which utilizes the raw power of the Pentium processor as the heart of its sound engine. Because Reality is software-based, it offers you an extraordinarily flexible sound design environment including subtractive “analog”, PCM (sample-based), Frequency Modulation (FM), physical modeling, waveguide, and modal synthesis methods. Any combination of these patches can be combined to create a patchwork, allowing you to build rich, interesting timbres with different synthesis methods playing simultaneously. Reality is still considered one of the best musical instruments ever made and SurReal is fun to play as the little brother of Reality. Both Reality and SurReal are available for purchase in the SeerMusic section. Sounds Sound designers, Ian Grant and others, have been in the studio for nearly 20 years and were there near the beginning of Samplers and MIDI. Quite wisely they were continuously recording samples of whatever they could, anticipating a future when equipment would have the RAM to play them. That time has come. These sounds are designed to be played and/or sequenced with typical low cost midi software to give you professional results. Character is what this is all about. We hope you agree.
